Last updated 30 September 2026

DealPin shows offers that people have spotted in real shops. To do that it needs a small amount of information from you, and this page says exactly what.

What we collect

  • Your email address, or your Google account's email, to sign you in. We never see your password. Google sign-in gives us your name and email only.
  • Your location, once per post. When you post an offer we ask your phone where you are, and we keep that position with the offer to check you were near the shop. We do not track you in the background and we do not store your location at any other time.
  • Photos you post. They are shown publicly with the offer. Location data hidden inside the photo file is removed before upload, and the photo is shrunk.
  • What you do in the app: posting, confirming, following a brand, installing the app. Only for signed-in members, only to count how many people come back. Nobody outside DealPin sees it.
  • Visits. Vercel Analytics counts pages viewed and which site sent you here. It sets no cookies and does not identify you.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share your information with advertisers or anyone else.
  • We do not show ads.
  • We do not track you across other websites or apps.
  • We do not read your contacts, messages or anything else on your phone.

What other people can see

Your display name, your karma and badges, and the offers you post are public. Your email address, your location and your settings are not.

Where it is kept

On Supabase servers in Mumbai, India, and served through Vercel. Both are established companies with their own security certifications.

Deleting your account

Write to us from the You screen and we will delete your account and everything attached to it within seven days. Offers you posted are removed from the map at the same time.

Cookies

Two: one that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers which area you were looking at. Neither tracks you and neither is shared with anyone.

Questions: write to the address on the You screen. This page is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, that is our fault, not yours.
